Is Rev Owens a Taliban operative in the good old U.S. of A.? The good Rev. wants to “stop during flags and start burning FAGS…” Clearly, the good Rev. Owens Sr. has been using his bully pulpit to send out a rebel call for the mass extermination/murder of homosexuals.

If Rev. Jeff Owens at Shenandoah Bible Baptist Church has his way, or what he thinks is the Lords way, anyone can take up weapons and hunt gays, burn them and murder them – just as long as they hunt and kill a homo.

Marion Barry: A Legacy of No Damn Good

How appropriate! On the eve of the DC marriage equality bill, same-sex couples will be able to apply for marriage licenses starting tomorrow morning, Marion Barry, who voted against the marriage bill, was censured and his case referred to the US Attorney’s office to pursue criminal charges.

Twenty years since he went to prison for drug possession, former D.C. mayor Marion Barry was punished again for breaking the law on Tuesday, this time for illegally steering city contracts to his friends and his girlfriend.

Despite having admitted to steering the contracts, Barry railed against his colleagues Tuesday, calling Bennett’s report inaccurate.

Depending upon the outcome of the U.S. Attorney’s investigation, Barry could face a second round in the slammer.

I Just Want to Live by God’s Law

There is not one verse in the Bible inhibiting slavery, but many regulating it. And this is how it all began:
In essence, Noah damned his son Ham for looking at his “nakedness” while Noah feel asleep drunk and naked in his tent. Ham is not directly cursed for his actions; instead the curse falls upon his youngest son Canaan.

Genesis 9:25-27: “Cursed be Canaan! The lowest of slaves will he be to his brothers. He also said, ‘Blessed be the Lord, the God of Shem! May Canaan be the slave of Shem. May God extend the territory of Japheth; may Japeth live in the tents of Shem and may Canaan be his slave’. ”
Christians traditionally believed that Canaan had settled in Africa. The dark skin of Africans became associated with this “curse of Ham.” Thus slavery of Africans became religiously justifiable. Author Anthony Pagden wrote:

“This reading of the Book of Genesis merged easily into a medieval iconographic tradition in which devils were always depicted as black. Later pseudo-scientific theories would be built around African skull shapes, dental structure, and body postures, in an attempt to find an unassailable argument–rooted in whatever the most persuasive contemporary idiom happened to be: law, theology, genealogy, or natural science — why one part of the human race should live in perpetual indebtedness to another.”

The doom of Ham has been branded on the form and features of his African descendants. The hand of fate has united his color and destiny. Man cannot separate what God hath joined.

Jesus never condemned the practice and there is no record of him having said anything negative about slavery. I double dare you to find just one.

For all you descendants of Ham: Negros who currently use God’s Word to vilify gays and lesbians, silence thy self and exercise empathy – we’re all in the same boat under Gods law. Man has always justified God’s law to satisfy him! Get the point? Good! Let us unite!

US sending $30 Million to Uganda. WHY?

At grants.gov there is a $30 million grant opportunity for HIV/AIDS training in UGANDA under the Presdent’s Emergency Plan for AIDS(PEPFAR).  Yes, Uganda!  A country currently underway  to enact legislation to kill gays and imprison folks with HIV/AIDS.  Why not withhold the 30million from a country that overtly deny human rights of gays and people living with HIV/AIDS?   Even with the recent attempts to slightly amend the bill by Religious bigots, still, there remains such hatred  under the disguise of Religion?

Also, which four groups will receive this pot of money?  Will it be more faith-based groups agitating Ugandans to kill  and imprison gays and people with HIV? Pastor Rick Warren has most likely used an enormous pot of grant dollars to promote the Ugandan Kill Gays bill.  Let pastor Rick train his pals in Uganda with church offering. Ugandan pastor Ssempa, who recently rejected president Obama’s criticism toward Uganda, said he sold thousands of pastor Warren’s Driven Purpose book in Uganda. The US should not spend 30mil on Uganda untill the Kill Gays bill has been defeated.

The purpose of this program is to strengthen the capacity of the Government of Uganda to meet the increasing need for HIV/AIDS service delivery training including pre-service and in-service training. Funding will support efforts at the national level to plan, coordinate, implement, supervise and perform quality assurance for HIV/AIDS training. Although this announcement specifically refers to HIV/AIDS training, activities should be coordinated with principal non-HIV/AIDS stakeholders for an integrated approach, and training may be expanded to cover other priority public health concerns as appropriate.

Harold Ford: Protecting New White Wife from Southern Bigots

Harold Ford said, “I’m in an interracial marriage. I think my marriage is more accepted here[NY] than it would be in Tennessee.”

The former congressman from Memphis said that after his 2006 defeat to Bob Corker and the victory in 2008 of Barack Obama “there was so much bad racial stuff out of Tennessee on Obama.

Ford has recently flip flopped his position on gay marriage. What has marr where he has changed his position since the 2006 Senate race.

“There are pastors in my Tennessee district who said you can minister to someone and change their sexual orientation. I just never accepted that,” Ford said. “I’m a heterosexual. I don’t know what anyone can say to me to make me sexually be with a man.”

The only way Ford will ever see Washington again is if he becomes a lobbyist.

Such an incredible story.  How could one go from devoted muslim to atheist?.  Easily, I say!  Stepping away from mental slavery/conformity does exactly that.

The former Dutch parliamentarian, who now lives in the United States, is a vociferous critic of Islam and has faced numerous death threats for years.  Ayaan Hirsi Ali the former Dutch politician who’s life is threatened by Muslims because she wrote a film script that criticised Islam.

Her rejection of Islam though wasn’t simply a reaction to jihadism. She was deeply influenced by The Atheist Manifesto, a work by the Dutch philosopher Herman Philipse, and after renouncing Islam, she became an atheist.
Her fame however was largely due to her collaboration with the film maker Theo Gogh. She wrote the script and  voice-over for the highly controversial “Submission” – a film that is critical of the treatment of women in Islamic society.

The film caused so much controversy, there were threats on Van Gogh’s life. On November 2, 2004, he was stabbed to death on a street in Amsterdam. His attacker, Mohammed Bouyeri, attached a piece of paper to Van Gogh’s body with a knife. The message it contained included a threat on the life of Hirsi Ali.

Ali states she had once been a devout Muslim, but had since come to question not just how Islam has been interpreted and practiced, but the core of the Prophet Mohammad’s teachings. “No culture, no religion, no idea has ever been as brutal to women as Islam,” she told the crowd. “It was a special kind of hatred the Nazis had against the Jews. Islam sanctions a special kind of hatred against women.” She said that Islam is more than a religion, but also a political system, one that is incompatible with U.S. democracy and pluralism. “They are as different as day and night.”

THE UGLY AMERICAN: Kumbaya My Azz

After going to Meridian, Idaho,the home of the 10 American (holy-ghost filled) child traffickers in Haiti, CNN discovered some important facts about the Baptist missionary group :

• no experience running an orphanage,
• not registered as a non-profit,
• no financial ability to sustain the orphanage; and
• not registered as an International adoption agency

Now that the Dominican government officials state they warned the Americans they would be arrested for trafficking, the groups Haitian interpreter stated the groups priority was to seek out children under the age of 10 – not orphans, and a Haitian police officer has been detained for possibly taking a bribe to assist the Americans, the 10 American Baptist have suddenly stopped talking to the press. Now they’ve started singing Kumbaya religious songs instead of revealing more lies.

So, as the facts unravel and the groups spokes person NOW refuses to answer anymore question – NOW the kumbaya songs begin.

Anderson Cooper is correct upon this interpretation of the group:

Every time I heard this story the term ‘ugly American’ pops into my head. If you’re not familiar with the meaning Dictionary.com defines “the Ugly American” as: Pejorative term for Americans traveling or living abroad who remain ignorant of local culture and judge everything by American standards.

I would bet those missionaries thought (and probably still think) that they were doing those kids and their families a huge favor rescuing them from a life in Haiti. But what they should have realized is that their efforts and money would have been more appreciated if they had worked to preserve the family unit and help it to succeed in Haiti.
To further bore you, I see a parallel here between those missionaries and religious groups here at home who seem to think they know what is best for all of us when it comes to gay marriage or a women’s right to choose, etc. Pushing an agenda in God’s name just isn’t the Christianity I know.
I’m up pretty high on my soap box tonight, hope I don’t hurt myself when I jump off!

Sprigg: I think the Supreme Court decision in Lawrence v. Texas which overturned the sodomy laws in this country was wrongly decided. I think there would be a place in this country for criminal sanctions against homosexual behavior.

Matthews: So we should outlaw gay behavior?

Sprigg: YES!

No dog whistles there. They aren’t even hiding it anymore.

Male prostitution is Nevada’s newest legal profession

Reporting from Tonopah, Nev. – Brothel owner Bobbi Davis got the go-ahead Tuesday to hire what her website cheekily calls “a few good men.”

Her Shady Lady Ranch is searching for “service-oriented” guys willing to become Nevada’s first legal male sex workers.

“I personally feel, as do the many other women who have made contact with me since I started this, that this is a service whose time has come,” Davis said in a letter to Nye County officials.

A county board’s vote Tuesday affirming that Davis could offer “shady men” to her clientele followed months of rancorous debate among the state’s legal brothel community. The industry, in its own peculiar way, is somewhat conservative: Considered an anachronism of bawdy mining camps by some Nevada newcomers, it often balks at change.

Of course, new ideas in a business unique to Nevada (in its legal form) are a touch different. Adding porn stars to brothel lineups rankled some owners. Overturning a ban on brothel advertising, a battle Davis and the American Civil Liberties Union helped lead, also stirred up debate. Though neither change shuttered the state’s 25 or so bordellos — some would argue the publicity helped — many owners still operate in an off-the-grid manner, wary of being shut down.
